Purpose of the Study

You are being invited to participate in a research study that aims to evaluate and compare two learning approaches for pharmacy calculations: (1) an AI-powered tutoring system and (2) a traditional self-study handout. This study seeks to determine which method more effectively improves pharmacy calculation proficiency. Your participation will contribute to evidence-based improvements in pharmacy education.

What Your Participation Involves

If you agree to participate, you will complete a single online session lasting approximately 90 minutes, which includes:

Voluntary Participation & Right to Withdraw

Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You may choose not to participate or withdraw from the study at any time without penalty, prejudice, or any negative consequences to your academic standing. If you choose to withdraw, any data collected from you will be discarded and will not be included in the analysis.

Confidentiality & Data Privacy

All information collected during this study will be kept strictly confidential in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Philippines. Specifically:

• Your personal information (name, email) will be used solely for session management and will not appear in any published results.
• All data will be stored securely on encrypted servers with access restricted to the research team only.
• Results will be reported in aggregate form. Individual participants will not be identifiable in any report, publication, or presentation.
• Your data will be retained only for the duration needed to complete the study and will be properly disposed of thereafter.
• You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the researchers.
